Falling in Love With the Author of Time: God is My Very Best Friend Forever (Part 3)
God is our refuge and strength, a very pleasant help in trouble-Psalm 46:1 (kjv)
Throughout life, I honestly can't remember much of my past. I don't remember every single detail of my past because I'm human. But what I do remember is my current season of life and I can testify that God is my very Best Friend forever. He knows what's best for me. He knows how to give the best advice. He knows how to listen to me express myself in a way where I'm not judged or overlooked. He never forgets about me. He always is there when I need Him because that's just who He is. He knows how to be there for others and that's one of the reasons why I love God. God gives discernment to certain people to discern when His love is being poured out to others and I've seen God bless others in ways where I never doubted that it was Him. He always came through and that just makes me fall in love with God even more. The things He does for others just show how good of a God He is. There's no denying His existence. For the heavens declare His glory and so does my being. As small of posture as I can be, I know that my living God lives and I can't run away from Him. He's too good.
I would suggest seeing God as your Best Friend. The one you go to when things seem a little bit on edge. The one you speak with in regarding to important matters and matters that definitely require you to need emotional support for. God is always there to hear you talk, to hear you speak about things you may deem not important but to Him it is. God is always going to have your back and He won't allow anything to happen to you unless there's a purpose behind it. I'm not saying sinful things and harmful things to you are God's will. But there's seasons where you're facing a lot and God just wants you to rely on Him as your Best Friend. Let Him decide for you your future. Give your future to God and let God be your Best Friend. It's going to be the very best decision you make in your humane life.
God knows that sometimes you can feel alone, left out, or simply not wanted. Just depend on Him as your source of strength and keep Him first. Even when you may not understand certain things, just keep Him first and He will meet you halfway in order to get you where you need to be both spiritually and in life. Life is fleeting but what's eternal is lasting. So it's better to focus first on the spiritual aspect of life in Christ and then everything else has its time and season. Don't let go of the Cross for fleeting pleasures but hold on to Christ as your very Best Friend and He'll see you through.
God bless your journey with Jesus as your Best Friend. To get to know more about Jesus, I suggest starting off with the first 4 Gospels: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. To see how Jesus would be in the midst of His church even without being physically present, you can read Acts-first few chapters of Revelation. God bless you abundantly! Exceedingly!
