Getting to Know the Author of Giving: God in His Presence (Part 3)
And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest-Exodus 33:14 (kjv)
God has a way of showing us He's real. The heavens and the earth declare His existence. Seeing another human being declares His existence. Working alongside His kingdom agenda, we see that God brings unity in the body of Christ, sends laborers to work His field, and do what they were called to do to bless us out of nowhere. That's how God is and that's how He will always be. He's filled with surprises so that everything that has to do with God, it will be manifested here on earth. The enemy knows who are God's children, and that's why we experience so many spiritual attacks as believers. God made us the head and not the tail, meaning above and never beneath. We are meant to set examples for those that don't know the truth of the gospel. In order to do exactly what He called us to do, we must know and discern how God moves.
God moves in so many different ways but God has a way of showing us that His presence is near. It's not just by a touch of heaven or a touch of His grace, mercy, and love being shown to us in this life. It's not just through His favor. But through others. Ask God to teach you and show you ways He has shown His loving ways of giving to you in your life. This is so you can see that He's real and He presents Himself to you as soon as you present your day, your life, and everything that you do for Him. He draws near when you draw near to Him. God is a gentleman. He's not trying to hurt anyone by not answering your prayers, etc. He just has a time for everything under the sun.
Hoping and being prayerful enough to ask God for your life to represent a touch of His presence. When God comes into a room, He transforms lives. He transforms whatever He touches. It is not in us to do the right thing but in Him to position us to do the right thing. A lot of the times we may not understand anything but trusting in God as our joyful presence and joyful melody every time we walk here on out on this earth is the way we should go about things. That's how we should be thinking. We should never think that God is too far away from us to do what He called us to do. He will always be there and see us through.
Whenever we are doing something for Him, we should feel Him nearer and nearer. That's who He is. His presence should be constantly overflowing in our lives and in our Christian walks. Life has a funny way of bringing us closer and over to God. But if we think about it for us Christians, to us, our lives is truly Jesus Christ. Whenever life seems impossible to carry, Jesus is there to cast His burden of easy load on you. Don't let the cares of this world (job, relationship, things) distract you from your relationship with God. All those things will eventually leave, but God will never leave. God's presence shouldn't be seen as scary, weird, or not needed. But as a way to get closer to Him and a reason to get closer to Him. There shouldn't be any reason attached to why we seek His presence though. But we should still get closer to Him without no hidden agendas and bad motives. God is not going to do what we ask, but what He wants to do.
May God's presence be what we crave and long for in those moments of late nights, early mornings, and afternoon work times. May God's presence be the support we need to continue to live here on this earth. May His presence be seen as something He freely gives to us when we genuinely seek Him. For indeed He is the Author of giving. May we never forget the moments when we needed God the most and He would show up right on time to see us through.
God bless you all beautiful souls!
