Letting Christ Jesus Into the Deepest Parts of Your Heart
A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh-Ezekiel 36:26 (kjv)
God has a way of nudging us to surrender to Him and one of those ways is giving our hearts over to Him. To His leading and guidance (in ways unimaginable because God is the only one who knows how to truly handle us since He created us for Him and for His plans for our lives). It's up to us to decide whether we'd want to take heed to His Word in drawing us near to Him and actually drawing near or to just be in this world to waste time and take up space. With all kindness and sincerity, God truly loves us all even when we don't choose His ways. I can't guarantee that I haven't chosen His ways because that will be lying. But God really desires for all of us to choose His ways so He can get the glory.
His ways are a form of believing in His truth. With our hearts, we believe His truth, for our hearts are where we make all our lives decisions. Our thoughts are influenced by our heart's choices. Sometimes we don't realize the impact we have when we make decisions off on emotions instead of God's Word. We would lose a lot if we went by our emotions, instead of God's Word (let's be honest).
But let's be honest, we must surrender our hearts to Jesus to understand the impact of walking in this newness of full surrender to His plans and guidance. I've mentioned before that it's not needed for everyone to understand your "why" because you don't need to give a thorough explanation until God prompts you to. But sometimes your why is as important as your how. Why is it important for both you and me to give to God the deepest parts of our hearts? To surrender those annoying, painful parts of the heart? Why is it so necessary? It's because we heal. God shaped us in a way that when this world hurts us, He can heal us.
I prompt you today to surrender the deepest parts of your heart to God. Even if you don't think you don't have anything sitting in your heart towards someone else or you're just trying to hide it and act like everything is fine. Give it to God. He'll heal you from it. A lot of the time, we don't realize how much tending our hearts need like a garden area that has thorns and hasn't been well kept. The danger of not having a foundational relationship with God is how else would He protect us from hurt and anything trying to bring us down?
Even when people try to hurt us, He's faithful to restore us. So understand that we all are imperfect human beings but it's in God we are being molded into the likeness of Jesus Christ His Son until we are here on this earth, we will be a work in progress to God. But it starts in the heart.
Things to ask yourself:
What areas in my life need to be fixed?
What questions need to be answered?
What hasn't been answered that's allowing my heart to be troubled?
The Bible says the heart is deceitful above all things in Jeremiah.... so why am I letting my heart deceive me to go down the wrong path?
The Bible says in Proverbs to guard my heart for out of it are the issues of life... so why am I letting my heart be trampled upon as if it's not worthy to be used for God's glory?
God knows what's best for us even when we don't know what's best for us. We must guard our hearts by guarding our thoughts and what comes out of our mouths. Just let God handle it. Let Jesus into the deepest parts of your heart and let Him show you what needs to be fixed.
It's part of a Christian lifestyle choice. It's a choice to get up every day and to choose to give Him our all. For He gave us our beating hearts for a reason.
Let Him give you a new heart in His Spirit renewal and not a carnal heart that will only lead you to condemnation instead of eternal blessing.
God bless your endeavors!
