The king james version existed from (according to AI overview via Google search):
- 414 years ago.
- 1611 was the first copy.
- Public domain (meaning not protected by copyrighted laws as self-owned property in the USA). But may not be true for other countries. However, God indeed and people have done a great job in preserving its enriching texts.
- No scriptures have been removed that have been commonly removed from New modern translations of the Bible (if you Google search: list of verses omitted from modern translations. It should come up. Even in Wikipedia).
- It was translated from these versions: Hebrew, Textus Receptus, & Greek Septuagint.
- It's considered a literary document book. Still stands true today.
- Old English not modern English (since English has been improved in many ways even in easier concepts to speak in dialect. Down to some word sentencing being said different than old English. But that's another point that would be long to discuss too).
